Lactic Acid

Lactic Acid is a natural exfoliant which is as old as Ancient History itself. Cleopatra used to bath in Asses milk to keep her skin soft and young. Using modern technology Pelactiv has improved on this ancient method to keep modern women looking young and radiant. Lactic Acid is natural to the body; our bodies produce 120gms of Lactic Acid daily. Lactic Acid is found in the muscles, kidneys, blood, skin and hair. The higher concentration of Lactic Acid is found in the skin, called the ‘acid mantle’, and protects the skin from microbial and fungal infections. Lactic Acid is the body’s own alpha hydroxy acid and also has an incredible antibacterial properties. It doesn’t dehydrate the skin, as it is part of the body’s own natural moisturising factor (NMF). It is the only alpha-hydroxy acid, which increases the skin’s moisture content and encourages natural hydration of the epidermal skin cells, whilst exfoliating.

Kakadu Plum Extract – rich in Vitamin C, Kakadu Plum has 10 times more Vitamin C than oranges. A great antioxidant that stimulates collagen production and evens skin tone.
Native Peppermint Gum – It soothes and tones the skin, revitalises irritated skin and tones down redness.
